Axis Of Perdition: The ichneumon method

17/05/04  ||  Lord K Philipson

Taken from the back of the booklet: ”Axis of Perdition plays something there isn´t words for yet (exclusively)”. Someone call in the fucken referee. Coz we have a huge offside here already. Further on, these losers clarify that ”most realities were harmed during the making of this album”. Damn. Fuck me. Bummer. Super-shit. What the hell should I do now? After being completely astonished by their statements in the booklet, is there a chance that me and my reality will survive hearing this? It will most likely be the most most wonderful of records I have ever heard… What a bunch of fucken bullshit…

The first time I listened to this album I was actually lying down. Why? Becoz I wanted to, like, be able to, like, you know, like, absorb, like, everything Axis of Perdition is about, kind of. That booklet really, like, got to me. This must be super-extra-special you know… Lying down didn’t help shit, lemme tell you that right away. Utter crap is utter crap it seems, no matter if you lie down, fly or levitate. Now it’s the second time I have to go thru this fantastic album, this time sitting up while typing this. Lemme get one thing straight, this is the last time it´ll be visiting my stereo.

Musicwise then? Well fuckfaces… There´s programmings all over the place, effects all over the place, crap all over the place, unhearable riffs all over the place, some black metal influences (though not all over the place), vocals that are completely sucking coyote due to loads of effects. It’s bands like this who really makes you appreciate the smaller things in life. It’s also bands like this that makes you understand how incredibly talented one is.

I can’t see anyone actually buying this for real money. I can’t see people actually enjoying this, but some probably do. There’s like 2 retards out there who appreciates fuckbands like Aurora Borealis, so AoP probably has 2 fans as well. I’m going to open my balconydoor now kids and throw this piece of garbage out on Hertig Karls Allé. For once I’m happy my street is having the heaviest traffic in Örebro.

3/10
